Sergeant Christopher Cano is a 14 year veteran of the El Monte Police Department, a suburb of Los Angeles County, California. Chris has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Management and is currently working on his Master’s Degree.
For the past five years, Chris has been teaching Investigations of Social Media to California Law Enforcement. Recently, he joined a panel of experts to design a law enforcement multimedia course in regards to social media and Internet security for law enforcement officers. Chris is a Master Instructor for California-POST and teaches other law enforcement courses.
In 2011, Chris began teaching with CAL-MASS and has instructed multiple classes in California and Colorado as well as being a key note speaker for the 2012 Social Media the Internet and Law Enforcement, (SMILE) conference.
